In addition to traditional automatic storage and retrieval system which generally falls into two sectors: either to use stacker crane based AS/RS or shuttle based AS/RS. HUAYIDE offers other solutions that enable exceptional space utilization and high storage densities. Our latest Multi Deep AS/RS Pallet load solution by Stacker crane & Shuttle is designed for goods of low variety and high volumes per SKU.  

It is particular suitable for handling deep-lane pallets inbound & outbound at very high density storage, make the pallets storage & retrieval even more efficient and economical. System by Stacker crane and on-board satellite technology can be adapted for an existing steel structure warehouses or be inserted into rack self-supported structures.

The system consists of few moving components – Deep lane Racking system with rails, Satellite (shuttle), S/R M, Picking & Dropping Station, WMS & WCS etc.

How does Stacker Crane with pallet shuttles work?

 

Inbound: Product be palletized automatically by a palletizer robot at respective production halls. Then the FG pallet will be conveyed on to the respective inbound station, AS/RS Pallet Stacker Crane & shuttle take the FG pallet, transport the shuttle to assigned level, then the shuttle runs on rack rails to an allotted storage location by WMS to drop pallet off. For all products belong to the same batches will be placed in the same row. Once storage activity is finished, HUAYIDE WMS software sends a confirmation through the interface to the ERP to update the inventory.

 

Outbound: The expedition orders will be received through an interface from ERP. The operator releases/allocates the orders based on material requirement by selecting it on the operator PC.

All the full pallets required as per expedition order will be deliver by Shuttle and Stacker Crane to the assigned Drop Station. Operator will pick the pallet with MHE and take it to the respective dock.

 

The shuttle is equipped with rechargeable iron ion battery, the shuttle recharges itself on the special charging pole. So, for instance, it is possible to use several shuttles with one AS/RS stacker crane. This system solution is also available for cold storage with temperatures of up to -28°C.
